Sorry for the delay in the post Memorial Day was a crazy day for us. We woke up in the morning to some thunder and lightning. After a slower start to let the bad part of the storm pass, we headed out of Biloxi and made out way towards LA. We spent the morning on our last bit of coast and a number of country rides with bridges over small water ways. We saw some cool lift and pivot bridges on our way to lunch. And stopped just a few miles before lunch to stop and pose infront of the LA border state sign.
After lunch we had some nice storms hit. My group was lucky to get rolling a bit quickly and we ended up in front of the thunder and lightning but we were being hit by some horrible hail like rain. Almost even had to stop due to too poor visibility. Separately we passed some cool random mailboxes and a crashed airplane.
Then after a very wet ride we arrived in Nola. Since we couldn't really stop to take pics while riding through the storm we took a nice riding group pic when we arrived at our host. Then Josh and I were off to Cafe Du Monde since we needed to get our beignets on. It was a nice afternoon, then the reasoning for the post's delay, was we headed off to Bourbon Street.
