Today was one of our four days off. Since we are in Nola, Benji and I decided we'd spend the day eating our way through the city. We started off a bit slowly because we had a late evening last night. Yesterday we went out to Bourbon Street where we had a pretty good time before heading off to Frenchman Street for some nice jazz music.
As a result we slept in a bit then grabbed an uber down to the French Quarter in search of gumbo, jambalaya, shrimp etouffee, crawfish boil, more beignets, some more po boys, and anything else we could find. We succeeded in finding all the first three things at Acme Oysters and the day was off to a great start. Sadly once again I succeeded in starting to eat half my food before I remembered to take a photo.
After our amazing brunch we went exploring and hit up a bunch of small shops in the French Quarter. We saw a few cool art galleries, a crazy hot sauce shop, a store that carries antique guns (like pre-American Revolutionary) and rare coins and the Louaiana District Supreme Court House.
