After our dress up party in the hat shop we headed to the museum where we found some great live street music out front. The exhibit then walked is through the entire storm, why the levies failed, how the storm grew, people's stories, the aftermath, and more. It was a really great experience for the group. I also liked seeing Fat Dominos Piano in the exhibit as it was found.
After the museum Benji and I thought it was time for some more food so we went out searching for anything we hadn't yet had today. As we were near Cafe Du Monde we had to grab a few quick beignets for our walk, which we devoured before happening across some crawfish. It was a ton of fun to watch him suck the head not realizing it was about to be really spicy.
It was about 4:30 when we finished up with our craw me there was a free Jazz concert in Louis Armstrong Park. At the park we met up with Andrew and Brian, but were soon joined by about a bunch of others. I instantly passed out though and had a nice hour plus long nap, while others enjoyed the music and walking on Benji's slack line. A number of people also enjoyed the food tents set up along the park path. Po boys were had by a large group of the people ranging from catfish to oyster and shrimp ones.
We ended up staying until the concert ended and left the park with a large group bound for Frenchman street around 8:30. Benji and I made one last stop at Nola Po Boys since we hadn't had one in the park. Then met up with everyone to listen to some more live music before heading back to Camp Hope.
